AND SHE WAITS....

seasons come, seasons go

but in her place she awaits

counting time as the clocks go

holding on to memories long lost

amongst the sadness there was a hope

at the end of the darkness a light shone

in spite of the falling tears a smile came

making her dream of a future serene

yet once again she got battered

beaten by hopes and love she dreamt

shattered her heart her soul her being

leaving her with memories to attain

and now she sits there by the door

hoping to see a shining face

to lighten up her dark world

to heal her wounds and to make her whole....
